My name is Keith Styles. I am a McDowell County native. I attended Clinchfield and Eastfield elementary schools, and then went on to East McDowell Junior High School. I graduated from McDowell High School in 1987. I then attended Appalachian State University on a N.C. Teaching Fellows Scholarship. I graduated from Appalachian State in 1992. I began my teaching career at McDowell High School in the fall of 1992 where I have taught and coached ever since. Over the last 23 years, I have taught world history, U.S. history, civics and economics, sociology, psychology, A.P. European history and most recently health and physical education. I have been on the football staff at McDowell High School for the majority of my 23 years where I now serve as Defensive Coordinator. I have been married to my wife Allison for 20 years and we are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Kassie and Piper.
