Welcome! I teach Technology Education at McDowell High School. I have a passion for teaching students how to use technology and to think critically. I'm excited to be a part of your or your child's education.
I am originally from McDowell County and attended MHS as a student. Upon graduating from MHS, I attended Gardner-Webb University where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I then began my teaching career in the CTE Department at MHS in the spring of 2000. I later went back to school and obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Media with a concentration in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State University.

I currently teach Scientific and Technical Visualization I, Game Art and Design, and Advanced Game Art and Design. I am certified in all three classes along with Microsoft Office 2013 and EverFi Financial Literacy
